In his eulogy for George Floyd in June, the Rev. Al Sharpton said that the Floyd family will lead a new march on Washington in August. Sharpton said then that the march would be held on August 28, the anniversary of the March on Washington in 1963 where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said to hundreds of thousands in front of the Lincoln Memorial: “I have a dream. ” On Tuesday, six weeks out from the promised march date, Sharpton released more details on Twitter.
